I don’t consider myself a landscape photographer, and in general find my camera to be a distraction from natural beauty. That said, I do like taking landscape photos if I’m somewhere slightly unusual, or if it’s somewhere that I think I will want to remember in my own way. Usually, though, I’m just content to take in a scene myself then revisit it afterwards through the eye of someone who has the equipment and background necessary to do some heavy-duty landscapes.
